Capsule Challenge!

This week the Robins were given a challenge to transport Eggy the Eggsplorer safely down to earth inside a capsule! 

We looked at capsules returning to Earth from space and talked about how the astronauts are protected inside and how the capsule slows down by using parachutes. The children worked within small groups to create a suitable capsule to protect Eggy. They were focussed, determined and had so much fun! 

Eggy ended up with quite a few cracks...some more than others! The teams with the least amount of cracks tested their capsules with raw Eggy! Only one team was triumphant in the end, I wonder if you can spot that team?
