Collective Worship
At Tilston Parochial Church of England Primary School, we have daily worship taking place at the start of the day, where the whole school gathers together to develop understanding of the Christian faith and enhance spiritual development, During this time, we light the candles, say our welcome words, 'We have gathered together to worship God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to think about our value...'. Each term we focus on a new value, using our long term plan (see below).
Each week, on a Thursday, Reverend Tim and Reverend Norma visit to lead worship.
Our daily worship incorporates prayer, reflection and song and is invitational, fostering and valuing a sense of community and shared values.
Our Worship Leaders support the Headteacher to develop the Christian distinctiveness of our school. Each week they support Reverend Tim and Reverend Norma as our Vicar's Assistant, preparing and sharing prayers. Our Worship Leaders share a weekly prayer to all families in the weekly newsletter and this is shared during the service at St Mary's church every Sunday.
Our value this half term is PERSEVERANCE (Spring A 2025)
