Global Week
Date: 17th Mar 2017 @ 2:50pm
The House Martins had a wonderful time during Global Week exploring different aspects of Fairtrade and global citizenship, especially enjoying the assembly involving hot chocolate. We were particularly interested to track the journey of the cocoa bean from bush to bar!
On Wednesday, we looked at Global Goals and made pic collages to champion different goals, deciding as a class to think further about water use. The plight of refugees was considered on Thursday and Friday, culminating in a philosophy inquiry based around the 'Teacup' book, where a young boy flees his country with a few posessions and hope for a better future. Everyone in the school then planted seeds in our Tilston school soil. A thoroughly informative and interesting week.
