Jack and the Beanstalk

We are very excited about our topic this half term. We are going to be learning about plants and will be planting our own beans and seeds. In literacy this week, we have been reading a familiar story, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ We have discussed the character traits of Jack and the giant but realise that some characters can change. Not all giants are angry and fierce, are they? Our class text has a modern day twist to this traditional tale so we will find out whether giants can change or whether they are destined to be scary if they live at the top of a beanstalk...we will have to wait and see until we read ‘Jack and the Baked Beanstalk.’
