Taking the learning outdoors

We have been enjoying the warm weather recently and have taken our learning outside the classroom. We’ve read the book ‘Dougal the deep sea diver’ and enjoyed it so much that we decided to role play the reporter scene so we could feel just like Dougal did. We asked lots of probing questions and gathered lots of interesting answers. In maths, we have been playing maths games outside to improve our fluency with multiples of 2, 5 and 10. After that we decided to use the number sequences to help sort the multiples into a Venn diagram.
