The House Martins become Geologists

On Friday, the House Martins were lucky enough to work with a real Geologist for the morning as part of our rocks science project. We spent the morning learning about what a geologist does, how important soils and rocks are for our planet and more about the structure of the earth.

Through investigations and experiments involving, constructing structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows, making a model of the earth with its various layers and crushing sweets to make igneous rock, we furthered our understanding and interest in geology.
