WW1

We will remember them.

This week we have been talking about WW1. We have talked about how many soldiers died and how it is really important to remember them. We have made poppies which are displayed in the village hall and we have written letters to the soldiers of Tilston, thanking them for their bravery. 

We were also lucky enough to have a visitor from our village (John’s auntie) who talked to us about her (and Mrs Farmer’s) grandfather who fought in WW1. She told us about his job and showed us the medals that he received after the war.
