WWII silhouette art in the Kestrels

Last week saw us working hard to develop our painting and drawing skills whilst creating silhouettes of wartime images. The results are fabulous; please pop in and see our display.

We also used Google Earth to compare the differences between New York in the 1930s and present day. This is linked with the study of Anthony Browne's version of King Kong, which we are really enjoying. We then created some poems using powerful vocabulary and figurative language.
