Y1/2 Egg Drop Challenge

Last week the Robins were given a challenge to design and make a capsule to carry an egg safely down to the ground without cracking. In small groups they weighed and measured the egg. Then they chose their materials carefully and made a parachute that was big enough to carry their capsule down. After making their design, the children tested it using multilink cubes. Some groups needed to adapt their design slightly and others decided not to change them at all!

Three groups successfully carried the egg safely down to the ground; however four groups were not successful! It was an eggcellent attempt from everyone!
